Gateway's results continue to rise...

Early GCSE results last week brought excellent news for The Gateway Academy, Tilbury, which is set to top last year’s success with an increase in Maths and English scores.

The Gateway Academy’s Year 11 students all took this year’s English and Maths GCSE exams early with outstanding results. More than half of the students achieved A*-C scores in GCSE English and Maths scores also rose:

o 54% of students gained A*-C in English.

o 37% of students gained A*-C in Maths.

o 36% of students gained both Maths and English A*-C.

These early results indicate that this summer the Academy could see a significant increase in results for the 5th year in a row.

Principal Kevin Sadler said “To see results continue to rise like this is just fantastic. We’re very proud of our students, they have worked very hard and these results give them a great head start on the summer exams. With the plans we have for the future our results are projected to continue increasing in the coming years.”
